Johnny's Shoes is not just a movie. It's  an epic event combining art, social justice and fun.  Johnny's Shoes Chicago kicks off on October 1st and you're invited to take part in the festivities. We will start the evening by having one of the most profound discussions regarding race, violence, police culture and humanity that you've ever had. Thought leaders, influencers and creatives will converge for an evening of groundbreaking conversations and breakthroughs. We are committed that you discover something new about yourself and how you relate to others. Afterwards, we will debut Johnny's Shoes, a thriller sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.  We'll end our evening at our official after party for a night of fun and celebration.Â

It is everyday people like you and me that will change the course of history. According to the Washington Post, on-duty police officers have killed 381 blacks since January 1, 2015 (through July 11, 2016). Consequently, police officers have been targeted with violence and even death. Unfortnately, matters are not improving, and observing from the sidelines will not make a difference. We have tried more oversight, better training and different policies. Consider MORE, BETTER and DIFFERENT alone does not work. Â
Why now? It's time for a new conversation. One that transcends race, nationality, religion and station. One that births a new reality. New actions. A new world. Â A new context for being human. Â Â
PANEL DISCUSSION
Creating a new context for the relationship between the Chicago Police and the African American Community
